News Release: Design Workshop Foundation Welcomes New Board Members, Announces Board Leadership

DENVER — Oct. 5, 2026 — Design Workshop Foundation welcomes three Design Workshop professionals to its Board of Trustees: Eric Krohngold, Julia Prince, and Reilly Thimons. The Foundation also announces new board leadership, with Design Workshop professionals Alison Cotey and Ashley Hejtmanek, both based in Aspen, serving as Chair and Co-Chair, respectively. As longtime board members, Cotey and Hejtmanek bring a strong understanding of the Foundation’s mission and work to their new leadership roles.

“These leaders bring a strong commitment to community impact and a shared belief in the power of design to create lasting change,” said Sarah Konradi, Executive Director of Design Workshop Foundation. “Their talent, expertise and diverse perspectives will help us deepen partnerships, expand our reach, and advance our mission of supporting communities as they shape their own futures.”

Together, the Foundation’s newest trustees and leadership team bring expertise in nonprofit leadership, education, community planning, landscape architecture, strategic services, and organizational growth. As trustees, Krohngold, Prince, and Thimons will help guide the Foundation’s continued growth, strengthen partnerships, and advance its mission to catalyze transformative change through design assistance, capacity building, and education. The newly appointed board members will provide strategic direction for the Foundation and serve a 2-year term.
